The 2022 Honda Civic Si comes equipped with an updated high-output VTEC 1.5-Litre Turbocharged 4-Cylinder Engine, with 192 lb.-ft. of torque at 1800-5000 rpm, and updated 6-Speed Manual Transmission, with improved short-throw, and standard rev-matching! There is also a new Leather-Wrapped Shift Knob, plus a 60% stiffer steering system, and new Drive Mode System, all which further improve the driving experience!
On the inside, the 2022 Honda Civic Si boosts a very driver-focused interior, which features Si-Stabilizing Sport Seats, with dynamic red accents, and red contrast stitching! While on the outside, the exterior now offers a vibrant color option: Blazing Orange Pearl, which is exclusive to the 2022 Honda Civic Si model!
“The Civic Si has achieved iconic status because it continually offers exhilarating performance at an affordable price,” said Steve Hui, Assistant Vice President, Honda Canada. “The latest Si brings that along with a standard manual transmission that makes it even more exciting to drive. It’s clearly the best and most dynamic Si we’ve ever produced, and it’s built right here in Canada.”
The 2022 Honda Civic Si also comes with a long list of new safety systems, including the world’s first driver and passenger airbags, which have been designed to better reduce injuries from severe brain trauma, associated with angled frontal collisions. In addition, all 2022 Honda Civic models come equipped with an Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) Body Structure, which includes improved occupant protection in angled frontal collisions. Side impact protection has also been improved, thanks to stiffer structures in the roof, side sill and B-pillar, doors, and the rear wheel arch and C-pillar.
Each 2022 Honda Civic Si also comes with Honda Sensing, a suite of safety technologies that use a new single-camera system, to provide a longer and wide view, than the previous radar-and-camera system. This system is now even more capable of quickly identifying pedestrians, bicyclists, and other vehicles, along with road lines and road signs.
